Defensive Pistol I

Course topics include: Firearm Safety, Basic Defensive Pistol Skills, Drawing from Concealment, Reloading, Malfunction Clearing

Students will receive class notes for all classroom material.

STUDENT EQUIPMENT: 

• Pistol: quality semi-automatic only, no revolvers and no .22lr caliber

• Ammunition:  Minimum 250 rounds (bring extra if possible)

• Magazines: Minimum of 3 (bring extra if possible)

• Belt: strong gun/tactical belt capable of holding the equipment properly

• Holster: belt-mounted holster that you can draw from (concealed holsters are permitted)

  • Holster must cover the trigger guard

  • NOTE: No Serpa Holsters allowed

• Magazine Pouches: Minimum of 1 (bring extra if possible)

• Concealment Garment: Can be jacket, overshirt, sweatshirt, etc.

• Eye Protection

• Hearing protection (Electronic strongly recommended)

• Clothing appropriate for the range (check the weather)

• Baseball-style hat

• Lunch/Snacks

• Water

• Pen/Notebook
